Coach tour holiday

No Ana, my daughter is staying home. It would be a minor miracle to get her to go away, can`t even get her out of the house! She has meals delivered from Wiltshire Farm Foods to microwave, and I leave everything else she needs out where she can reach it. She`s 51, keeps telling us she`s not a child, and, hopefully without sounding too pathetic, I really do need a break, even though it is over 2 months away.
Aggie, I was reading on the website about the hand sanitiser, but after all the hospital visits this year, it got to be a habit anyway, so shouldn`t be too much of a hardship.

When I've attended performances at Pitlochry Festival theatre I've often noticed a bus with the Lochs and Glens logo. I think they must offer similar itineraries. If a trip to Pitlochry is included that's definitely worth doing especially if a theatre matinee is included.
Mull and Iona are wonderful spots - check out Balamory/Tobermory and the castles.
I hope you enjoy a well-deserved break.
I'll be heading in the opposite direction. South to Stratford and also with the DCs to Disneyland Paris.
In comparison, you should have a week of R & R.

We were on a HH holiday last sept , the "hotel !" in Oban was the strangest place I have ever been in . Hand sanitising was taken to extremes , going in the front door , going into the lounge entering the dining room , then exiting all these doors !. No reception so the doors were locked at 10pm , no chance of a stroll to the quiz at the nearest pub , and during the day we had to make sure we had our digital key to get in and out of the front door . The food was good , the place was spotless if very dated , the beds comfy . It was as well the bus drivers were jolly and we had lovely trips out , the hand sanitising was on and off the bus too .......... all ott I think

I'm so glad you're going to be able to get away for a few days, numberplease! Is your DD going with you, or will she be looked after while you're away?

I`m also REALLY looking forward to a week with no cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, no waiting on hand and foot, ooooh, BLISS!!
Marelli, the trips include Mull and Iona, Edinburgh and Royal yacht, Dunoon and Clyde Estuary, can`t remember the rest, but they sound good.

You'll love it, number! You can sit on the coach and relax at last, with no worries about having to organise anything! Tyndrum is a beautiful area and no doubt there'll be trips along to Glen Coe, Fort William, Oban etc. Just what the doctor ordered!

We get picked up here in Boston, at 6.30am, not quite sure where yet, but it`ll probably be the bus station.
Scotland has been a favourite destination of ours for a good many years, but this will be our very first ever coach tour. I`m so glad to see good reports of Highland Heritage. The fact that most of the customers are older doesn`t bother us, cos so are we!

When my OH and I started going on coach tour holidays we were the youngest couple by many years. Now we are among the majority. Never used Highland Heritage. We go with a local firm and have been with them to all parts of Britain and also to Holland. I resisted coach tours for years, now I love them!
Enjoy yours, I love Scotland and go frequently now that my DD and her family live there.

It sounds lovely. Scotland is so beautiful and I have always found the people to be very pleasant.

Do you go up to Scotland by coach or do you go up by train and then pick up the coach?

I am so pleased for you number as I am sure you are more than ready for a holiday.My widowed SiL has been on a couple of hols with Highland Heritage with friends and has enjoyed them. A point to note they will be mostly older people, but who are we to point the finger there? And a plus ,you get driven everywhere and taken to some lovely places on days out. The anticipation will keep you going. Have you started planning your wardrobe yet?

Yes,we went last September,first visit and will certainly go again.We stayed at the Royal hotel in Tyndrum. I cannot recommend Highland Heritage highly enough.
