Which mobility scooter?

I now have the motobility car which is beautiful and dandy, gets me to places I have only dreamed of in the last years but I find that once I am at the said places, I cannot get about. Even taking my beloved doggie to the park leaves me sitting on the nearest bench to the car and not being able to walk her at all really.

I need something which is sturdy, will take a buxom wench, not tip over and will dismantle to go into the back of the car. Also not blue in colour (don't ask, long story, fortune teller).

Is it better for me to save a bit or wait for my dad's inheritance to buy new or can second hand ones be ok?

Any thoughts highly appreciated, as always from my good friends. X

You can buy an electric hoist for your car( clearance permitting ) from Bryg Aid ( I think that's the spelling) which will save you having to break your scooter down ( if you have a suitable car).

Every year there is www.mobilityroadshow.co.uk/ where you go along and all the scooters and all the dealers are there. I'm not sure if there's another one later in the year. If not the best thing is to go to a RICA endorsed shop . RICA do mystery surveys on all the stores they accredit so you won't be bullied or ripped off.

I'm a larger lady and currently have a Pride Victory which I bought in the USA. This is my 3rd one in 10 years, I trade them in as I would my car. Never had a moments problem . You can but them in the UK too but there are lots of other makes too. A good shop will assess you so you get the right scooter for you.
