If anyone is interested, there is a 20% off code being advertised on moneysavingexpert.com today which expires on 18 July. Or go direct to National Railcard and enter the code(SAVE). Also available for £15 of Tesco vouchers which is 50% off. Not to be sniffed at!

Oooh, we've bought railcards through Tesco vouchers before. I didn't know they were available again.
Thanks.

I bought a joint rail card a couple of months ago, and every time we have wanted to travel, since then, there has either been work on the line, or the strike, so if we were desperate to travel it would not have been easy. As it is I think I wasted my money, as all journeys are either taking twice as long because of bus services replacing the train or there is a strike!

I just tried to get one for OH but he's not 60 till 1 August and can only apply two weeks in advance which is luckily 18 July so should be just in time!
