Would you book a holiday that isn't ABTA/ATOL bonded?

I heard of that too Stansgran also heard that it can be a problem if you book flights and accommodation with separate providers where one could not be bonded,we always make sure before we book and always pay via Credit Card for that extra cover they give.

I think it can happen if you book on line as well. There was a tale in the Sunday times about an email booking to a Greek hotel which was hacked into. And the couple arrived with no reservation. They had been told to pay by bank transfer.lost a couple of thousand I think.

Short answer is No!
We always research holiday companies thoroughly - the true test of a good company is what they do when things beyond their control go wrong. For this reason I'd always be happy to recommend Titan and their 'sister' company Saga.

Low cost Holidays has collapsed leaving many customers without a holiday or refund. I understand that it isn't ABTA/ATOL bonded. Have you ever booked with such a company? If so did you use your credit card as a form of insurance?
