Niagara Falls in October

It is my 60th birthday in October and DH and I would like to see Niagara Falls, but are concerned it may be a bit late in the year. Obviously cannot control the weather, but has anyone visited at that time of year? Would attractions still be open, or closed for winter?

we went end of october mainly because DH wanted to see halloween over there, a few things were shut but a lot open . The colours of the trees was amazing we thoroughly enjoyed it in fact we have been in June when i found it too warm it was chilly in October / November but the winter sun can be lovely.
