Passport names on plane tickets.

I am treating my family to a holiday in the sun and we booked it months ago. Then my daughter went through the process of getting passports for the grand kids. These have arrived and are all in order, showing the girl's full names.
Now the plane tickets have been e mailed to us and show only the girls first Christian name and their surname. Will this be accepted at boarding as the names on the tickets do not exactly match the passports? Anybody got experience of this?

As long as first and surnames are correct it won't matter. I don't think airlines recognise middle names. Have a fan holiday and stop worrying.

Yes it is okay. I have just received boarding cards for hols next week(hurray) and mine does not have my middle name on which, of course, is on my passport. Checked with travel company website and it states middle names aren't necessary on boarding cards.

Thanks for your replies. The girls are so excited about going on an aeroplane; could not bear it if we were turned away.
