Rail Discoveries part 2

I wrote on here 2 year back that we had a wonderful holiday with Rail discoveries.

Once again we have just returned from Spain with them and I firstly say the hotels, locations, food and even the weather were wonderful.

We have however, decided to make this the last trip for the following reasons.

We live in London so getting to St Pancras is not a problem but we had to be there at 7.20am on a Sunday so rather than risk it we stayed overnight near the station.
Although we did it last time, we found lugging our luggage about was a real chore, also we had to change hotels which we didn't last time so more luggage removal.

You have to lift your cases on Euro Star get off at Gare du Nor then wheel them about another half mile to a coach to go to Gare du Lyon through Paris. Then you get on the high speed train and each time we've been upstairs so cases have to be carried up there to. We got off at Barcelona and the 10 min walk to the hotel was more like 20-25 mins dragging your case. Next morning we go for tour round Barcelona (very good guide) then in coach for 2.5 hour trip to Peniscola . All this in reverse of course on the way back.

Such a shame it puts a damper on it as the actual holiday you couldn't fault it.
