I bought travel insurance today for an up-coming trip. On reviewing the details I had given, prior to paying, I realised that I had made a typo and was a year out with the year my year of birth..
Obviously, I went back to correct my error. As the incorrect year made me appear a year younger than I am in reality, I thought that the price might rise when I put in the correct year. Imagine my surprise when it actually dropped instead - albeit only by a pound.

All I can assume is that women of 56 are a bigger insurance risk than those of 57. Who would have thought it! grin

Silly... age though is a major factor, especially with pre-existing conditions post 70. Will be interesting to see what will happen post Brexit if we crash out with No Deal. Very likely that anyone over 70, and especially with any preexisting concerns- will find it VERY expensive to travel, as EHIC will be cancelled.
