Morning all!

We are going to Crete for a short holiday, but I am a bit worried about the accessibility of gluten free food when we're out and about.

I'll take my usual Emergency Rations of gf bread and biscuits to Crete with me, but wondered if anyone has experience of eating out and can offer some pearls of wisdom.

I'm quite happy to take gf bread with me if we're out for the day, but I'm not sure how necessary that would be.

Thank you! smile

Don’t know about Crete, but friends have never had a problem in Zakynthos. They used this card -

We have cow's milk protein allergies in the family. Food places everywhere abroad now seem to be clued up with an allergy list to check the ingredients of dishes. Just ask whoever is serving you.

We holiday on Crete regularly , DIL is coeliac but never been a problem - the Greeks don't use a great deal of gluten anyway, apart from the obvious.
When the local bakery began making GF bread a few years ago then cakes her life was complete !
I'm sure you will not find it a problem - have a super time !!
