To get into Guernsey you have to pay £25 pp for a flow test kit.
We were part of a group and our agent said we could take the NHS kits with us.
When we landed this wasn't the case it was a cash grab the only thing they wanted was your money.
Unbelievable to us was a test wasn't done and we could have entered the country haveing the infection.
It took almost 2 hours to get through.
The next part of our trip was to Jersey where they did carry out a test and it was free.

Jersey and Guernsey have always has different rules always best to check their government website before you travel so you know exactly what to expect
The cost of tests in Jersey is paid by the local government (a lot of Islanders not happy about this)
Guernsey had much tighter rules than Jersey for quite a while They prefer their own tests they are not part of the NHS
When I entered Jersey in July you had to isolate until the results of your first test about 8 hours this has since been changed Must admit I would have been more than prepared to pay for this test not being a Jersey resident

Jeanie99. In the Channel Islands all healthcare has to be paid for. It sounds like your agent needs to do their research on rules and regulations for entering Guernsey and not just assuming that the NHS test would be fine. Why would it be when Guernsey are not part of the NHS?

I did travel to Guernsey a few years ago and they certainly do things “differently”, just not visitor friendly, I will not be visiting again.
