Virgin credit card gives you airmiles. I use it for everything and pay off by direct debit every month.
Halifax don’t give airmiles but are commission free when you are abroad so I have one for travel and use it occasionally in the UK to keep it going

Please suggest the best credit cards in the UK that are useful to accrue airmiles and free hotel stays and all that sort of thing. Those that have an annual fee as well as those that don't. My sister has recently retired and is planning on a lot of travel. She's saved up just to travel, not having been able to do so for well over 20 years due to other committments. She is wondering how best to go about this in order to get some free tickets. I am told if you choose your credit cards wisely you can really make good gains travelwise. TIA
