Anyone been to New Zealand recently?

Have a lovely time in NZ, it's a wonderful country (I did fly-drive 5 years ago), fabulous geography, wonderful culture, and best of all such friendly people.

I'd be interested to know if any Gransnetters have been to NZ since the end of lockdown. If so, could they give a rough idea of how much (basic) meals out, petrol etc cost. Just thinking about a fly drive and wondering if it's affordable. Also, is travel insurance to NZ very high for over 70s, one with minor medical issues, and the other with a few more medical issues, though nothing too serious at the moment? I know that insurance for many American countries is prohibitive. Any advice would be welcome.
