Has anyone done a British Isles cruise?

I've often been in Guernsey when the cruise ships dock there and it seems as if the passengers get a few hours to look around the whole island. Granted, it's a small island, but that would only be a taster, so I wouldn't do it. I'd check the exact itinerary if I were you to see how many hours you get in each place, or at least see the actual 'at sea' parts as the holiday.

We did this with Fred Olsen in 2012 and 2015 - slightly different stopping places - and it was very enjoyable. Not sure how much they will have changed since then.

Thanks @silverlining.
We've done a few med cruises when the children were teenagers but nothing since. We like to go abroad for sun in winter and usually have a UK holiday in the summer so this seemed like a good way to see some places I have never been to.

Something I rather fancy too.
As to Olsen we have had a number of very enjoyable cruises with them.
Wonderful food too, so would recommend.

I like the idea of visiting some of the Scottish islands on a cruise, perhaps including Ireland. I can only find Fred Olsen offering these and wondered if anyone had tried them?
