Staying in touch post holiday - solos

I have just returned from a solos holiday and it was a lot of fun but the group whatsapp is getting annoying. Is it rude to leave? There are one of two people I might like to stay in touch with but the rest, not so much!

You could mute or archive it, so you don't constantly get notifications.

I archived a school reunion one.
I didnt want to be on it in the first place, but the person wanted my details, so I let her have them.

Not sure if they immediately noticed I was no longer there. But hey ho.
