Packing Cubes

Even if you don't travel uch these cubes are sooo useful for dividing and storing all clothes not in season. If use one colour for my husband and another myself.

I had never heard of these until somebody on Gogglebox mentioned them so I googled to see what they are. They do seem useful but the days of us going on holiday have gone although they may be useful for packing summer clothes away, a job which I have already done. I did see some in Primark the other day and it gave me a better idea of what they are like.

Game changer for us. First time using compression ones on a cruise in September. Made packing so much easier, well organised. Kept smaller things in cubes in drawers, which meant packing for return journey went well too.
I got mine from Amazon, other half got his from ebay.
Mine were pink leopard print- his just grey!

I even now just use them in my wardrobe too now. Summer/winter/holiday bits. Easy to grab and sort.

I roll everything and put complete 'outfits' together in different cubes.. saves so much time, just hang up the contents of tomorrows cube on arrival at accomodation! Also gather electricals into one cube, chargers, tongs etc. jewellery, hair clips, scrunchies in another. Pjs roll and fit in a tiny compression cube, takes up much less room in the case.
Love using them. I can travel for a week with a cabin bag.

Agree with nanna8 - when touring everything is in cubes and easily found. I always put clothes back in the correct cube. So I use my suitcase like an old fashioned cabin trunk. I put any shopping under all the cubes. I hate having a messy case and all odds and ends go in a cube as well.

I use them for travelling. It saves things getting muddled up and especially good if you are moving around and only spending a night or two in a particular hotel.

I use the non compression type for our cases and find unpacking so much simpler. Either leave things in the case or take out and drop in a drawer. Different colours for us both, mesh tops to see what’s inside. I don’t find creasing a problem

We have ottoman beds at home. I use the zip compression types to store out of season socks, tights, hats and gloves under the bed. Also use non compression large ones to store out of season clothes in our horizontal cupboard, we don’t have enough hanging space to keep them in wardrobes. Packing cubes are also used to store small Christmas gifts and anything else needing to be packed away neatly. I like order and find them useful for so many things.

Hello, would not be without them, I do not use compressed ones but use cubes from camping store in Australia. Great for customs after a 15 hour flight to look through. Organisation is key, I only travel with a 7kg bag so they are wonderful, shoes use shower caps, have fun

Yes, I use them.
My son used them in his backpack when travelling for months on end and recommended them to me.
I don’t have the compression type as I don’t want stuff crushed too much. They make unpacking and organising so much easier

I haven’t used them but my DD has . She says they’re great if you’re sharing a suitcase . She’s been on several destination hen dos and shared a case

They’re brilliant! I bought a cheap set to try them out. When I found them useful I upgraded to better quality compression ones.

Don’t overfill them and expect them to compress - you can’t get a quart into a pint pot - but they definitely reduce the space needed. They fit neatly into a case and at your destination if you don’t want to unpack, you can easily find what you need if you packed by categories. I categorise by tops, bottoms, undies, dresses, pj’s etc. Everything is to hand and there’s no raking around to find a clean t-shirt etc.

I roll up many items and don’t find that they crease any more than they do jumbled up in a case. One thing I’d advise is buying ones with a mesh top, then you can see at a glance what’s inside. It’s annoying to have to unzip to find out whether there are t-shirts or knickers inside!

I am looking at those GrannyGravy. They have 2 zips and squash down.
I expect they crease clothes though, so may be more useful for dirty things and underwear, socks etc.

I have started using them and find them really useful.
I put all my shoes/sandals in one, underwear in another, t-shirts in another and just lift the whole bag out of the case and into a drawer.
I also use the small ones for first aid stuff and chargers, cables, adaptors and spare batteries etc.

We have packing cubes, and find them extremely useful, especially for a multiple destination trip.

I am also looking into the compact ones, there are some now that do not need a vacuum to suck out the air, you just roll them and sort of burp them if you get what I mean.
