What is the average price of a flight to Melbourne?

😆 BA sent us money for dry cleaning, and a small amount towards our next flight, PamelaJ1.
It's the same plane that carries on, but you have to get off while they clean it. You can leave all your stuff on board because you go back to the same seats. You don't have to check in again.

Do you just change planes or have a stopover? We did consider that route this time. I can’t remember now why Trailfinders said it wasn’t a good idea.🤷🏼‍♀️

We always go the other way to most prople on here, via LA. We prefer that the two legs are more equal timewise. British Airways has been known to lose our luggage, and once the coffee machine from first class leaked down onto us below.!
Qantas were good, but Air New Zealand wins hands down.

We always go cattle class.
A year ago I went by myself to NZ mid Jan to mid Feb. It was under £2000..
Qatar, no stopover. It was fine.

We used to go Singapore or Emirates and had a stopover in either Singapore or Tokyo and extra stops in Melbourne or Sydney to visit cousins.
This time I booked through trailfinders.

We’ve used Emirates and Singapore. Both are good, but Emirates has the edge. I prefer to travel Premium Economy, but have travelled Economy too.

Singapore is worth visiting. I love HK but DH hates it but as Cathy Pacific was the best flight deal we haven’t stopped over this time.
Singapore is the best transit airport. I'm not keen on HK airport but a stopover might be interesting. Qantas has gone down in our estimation as have Qatar Airways but others may find them good.

Say about £1500 if you want to turn right about £8,000 in business.
It depends when you want to go but will involve a stop somewhere on the way so decide if you want to see a bit of the world on the way there or back. Singapore is worth visiting. I love HK but DH hates it but as Cathy Pacific was the best flight deal we haven’t stopped over this time.
I do my homework but then go to Trailfinders to book. If you also book a hotel with them, or another company,( even just one night) you get extra protection if anything goes wrong.
They were fantastic when we got stuck in Perth when Covid struck.
