St Andrews, NB - large house needed!

Hi, does anyone know of a large multi-generational house in Saintt Andrews, NB? We have a family reunion and need a pool and enough space that grandchildren can run around for next summer - google only offers me hotels or small houses with hot tubs. I think it would be more fun to be together. Any East Coast Canadians out there? Thank you!

St Andrews Fife?
Might be a bit chilly for an outdoor pool from memories of my time there 🥶🥶🥶🥶

Ah, is NB New Brunswick? (Penny drops)

That made me laugh!

We are off to St Andrew's Scotland on Saturday and there will be no outdoor swimming for us. DGS will have their wellies on to paddle in the sea.
The only exception is DIL2, who will be swimming in the sea pool at Pittenweem and trying out her paddleboard. . 🥶
She is a hardy soul.

You need to be a hardy soul to be swimming in the sea in Scotland at this time!

I may be wrong, but this is what I might call a “long shot” !!

The OP has also posted on Mumsnet, and has received a link to a beautiful property.

We go every year at this time and book a cottage in Cellardyke, overlooking the rocks.
DIL swims everyday, when we are there. It makes me cold, just watching!

Well, there you go!

I thought it was delightfully old fashioned NB = North Britain.

The North British Hotel in Edinburgh was the Station hotel. Its clock was always set 5 mins fast so you didn't miss your train.
Now it's the Balmoral Hotel but at first that was the New Balmoral so the cutlery and linen with the NB insignia didn't need to be changed.

I digress. Hopefully New Brunswick in the Summer will be warm enough for an outdoor pool!

Only 6 bedrooms - how big do you need?

No pool.
Call the agent maybe and ask what they have?
May have others.

This site is amazing - thank you so much!

Morning! I expect you are the same person as on Mumsnet (unless the world is getting very very small).
But just in case you aren't, my cousin's family house is now available for summer rentals. Sleeps 12-14 (plenty of space for cots as well!) and big pool and garden.

Have a great holiday and do PM me to ask any questions you'd like as I know the town very well.

I think that's one of the houses I linked to!

As a child we would go to Aberdour near St Andrews to swim at Easter and May bank holiday to Portobello near Leith. Loved it.

No, you need to be a hardy soul to swim in the sea around Scotland, or anywhere else in Great Britain at any time!

Not sure what NB stands for, but think OP is Canadian.

Look on Vrbo, there seems to be quite a few. I also searched holiday rentals St Andrews, NB, Canada & there are homes coming up that I've actually seen in St Andrews. Hope you find somewhere nice.

Lol was thinking same thing!
