Why?
I’ve been to Cyprus half a dozen times in the past 3 years - usually late May and September. Having said that we’ve booked Spain for next month, because my friend is ‘unsettled’ by the war. She’s 70 and I’m 75 and she’s very much a Sun worshipper, so I refer to these as ‘fly-flop’ holidays. We do very little, read a lot, partake of afternoon cocktails and stay within walking distance of Paphos and the Harbour. We book on a B&B basis and enjoy going out at night to eat.
There’s a wide walkway leading from the Harbour going around the coast underway, with miles already completed which is a nice viewpoint for the spectacular sunsets. The locals are very friendly and hotels are clean and comfortable, although I expect you get what you pay for.
I’m sorry I’ve not done anything cultural or upmarket during my visits to report.
I hope you get other replies here.
