I see this has started again! I must admit to love watching the audition programmes to see the truly awful people who are on it. Such Fun!! I record it and then whizz through the boring bits. Once they go to boot camp and the live shows, I'm not longer interested and don't watch. Am I alone in this guilty pleasure? blush

Libradi Sun 23-Oct-11 13:35:08

Anyone still watching?

Elegran Mon 17-Oct-11 18:18:27

Gally. Neither have I. It does not interest me. That is why I usually don't read this thread either, but your talk of confession caught my eye. I thought it might be something scandalous (if it was real)

numberplease Mon 17-Oct-11 18:03:29

Probably sensible Gally, I do my share of moaning, but always end up watching!

Gally Mon 17-Oct-11 17:22:28

I have a confession to make. Ahem (clearing throat smiley): I have never ever watched X Factor. Am I sane or just plain sad? sad grin

supernana Mon 17-Oct-11 16:31:39

Wish that he wouldn't appear to be in desperate need of a wee!

Annobel Mon 17-Oct-11 16:29:06

It crossed my mind to be grateful I'm not his granny!

I wonder how many of us mums and grans are dying to cut, wash and comb Frankie`s hair? All he did last night was SCRATCH!

glammanana Sun 16-Oct-11 23:28:34

Wrong one voted off again confused

Horrible little Frankie lives to fight another day. I can`t abide him, but must admit that Nu-Vibe`s performance tonight was terrible, but then again I think there was a chance that they`d improve with time, but we`ll never know now.

Libradi Sun 16-Oct-11 14:24:13

I was disappointed in the acts last night, I did like the boy band 'The Risk', I like Sophie, thinks she's got a great voice but she's very 'wooden' hopefully they will all get more confident as the weeks go on. Sami has a great voice too and comes across as very confident. I like Mischa, (love the drama) I want to like Janet because she looks so sweet and does have a lovely voice but I wouldn't want to listen to a whole album of her.

I'm afraid Johnny really irritates me.

Anyone else watching X factor USA? Much better (in my opinion) than our version).

numberplease Sat 15-Oct-11 23:31:28

After tonight, my best 3, in order, Sami, The Risk, and Janet.
My worst 3, from bottom up, Frankie, Mischa and Kitty.
The rest are in between, but why, oh why, whenever Louie has anm act that`s a bit "different", does he go all out yto make them look ridiculous? Johnny is the act in question, he has a nice voice, and a lovely personality, but Louie just makes him look stupid.

When I look at Frankie it seems to me that he has been locked in a wind tunnel, the mum (and nanny) in me wants to give his hair a dam good brush grin

shysal Mon 10-Oct-11 10:22:42

I think Goldie removed herself from the programme, fearing she would be ridiculed - sensible move! I hope I am remembering the right person (oriental girl).
I am still liking Janet, and I thought Craig sang 'Jar of Hearts', one of my favourite songs, beautifully.

silver60 Mon 10-Oct-11 09:35:30

I can't believe they put Goldie through!...And that's just one I can name!..I see they got rid of 2 good singers from the girls camp as well

nannym Mon 10-Oct-11 06:40:20

I thought 'The Twist' for this year was unnecessarily cruel to the contestants. It's all very well for them to be subjected to the public's vote, but for them to be chosen for the live shows and then publicly dumped by their mentor is I think, a step too far. Having said that though, I think some good choices were made. Just wish that Gary had axed cocky little Frankie!!

numberplease Sun 09-Oct-11 21:21:23

The trouble with Louis is that if he has an act that`s a bit "different", he tends to try and make them too outrageous. I thought that Johnny sang well last night, but the outfit made him look ridiculous. I`m really pleased that Sami and Janet are still there though.

Hattie64 Sun 09-Oct-11 19:00:15

I do think that Louis should also have been ousted, he doesn't give his singers, like Johnny, the right sort of song. I always find I haven't much time for the groups, except the two Essex girls, unbelievable they are only 21 years of age. I like all the girls. So tonight will definately be interesting with four going.

shysal Sun 09-Oct-11 18:54:29

You like Johnny ?? I thought he was rubbish last night, Louis is going to turn him into another Wagner or Jedward if he keeps him, which he may do as the soldier chap was even worse yesterday.

numberplease Sun 09-Oct-11 18:12:29

My top four going off last night`s performances, Sami, Janet, The Risk, and Johnny. Can`t stand Kitty or Frankie at all.

Libradi Sun 09-Oct-11 08:59:06

smile shysal must admit I do miss Simon, the judges are ok but not really believable, I think when Simon says something its genuine, but get the feeling the others are being told what to say. I've also been watching X factor USA, and agree that Simon and L.A Reid talk a lot of sense (must admit I didn't know who L.A Reid was until the show) but I see he is a well respected record producer and songwriter. I think the standard is much higher than ours, some amazing singers.

I liked Sophie and Misha although I will probably change my mind from week to week. I like Janet but think her voice will end up irritating me after a while.

shysal Sat 08-Oct-11 19:31:20

Something has gone wrong! My posts keep appearing in multiples. I will stop now!

shysal Sat 08-Oct-11 19:30:12

Apparently the twist tonight is that each group has to lose one contestant.
I have not missed Simon at all, but read that the judges are fed some of their lines,I doubt Simon was.
I liked Jade, shame she was not chosen, and like little Irish girl.

Also enjoying X Factor USA, which has Simon and a new judge L.A.Reid who talks a lot of sense.

After all the weeks of auditions and thousands of performances, I am always amazed at the final line up, I think 'is this it then'??? Will they all disappear from view in a years time? I still think of that fabulous black soul singer from last year, well not sole actually, she was brilliant. Haven't heard anything from her since then??
