I admire the contestants who have managed to stay the course thus far. It takes an awful lot of courage to perform and be judged accordingly. I do not like the twaddle uttered by the judges and, yes, Simon had the X factor - he was honest, if a little prickly at times. I like Sammy, and I also liked Jade...sadly cast adrift last week.

Getting bored with everything being so staged I think myself maybe this programme has had it's day. Gary Barlow defininatley does not have the *Simon Factor*hmm but I like him in Take That

Anyone else looking forward to the live show tonight?

Weren`t there some prize idiots on last night?

I love X factor but mainly when boot camp is out of the way and the live shows begin.

What did we do before Sky +, fantastic being able to whizz through all the frustrating parts.

Yes - Sammy sang with soul. I also liked Jade from Fife who sang on the previous show. I still miss Simon.

Nobody this year has really impressed me, until tonight. That girl, Sammy, who sang "One Moment in Time", was absolutely fantastic, especially as she came over as a bit daft at the start. Hope she goes the distance.

X factor is definitely in the catagory of record now, whizz through later. Very compulsive TV!

supernana I miss Simon too. He was the only one who 'said it like it is!'
The others put through some real rubbish singers.

eggmayo that guy was some piece of work was'nt he but as you say it all goes down to watchability and getting viewer's number's up,girl from Ireland is on my list, but no financial gain only "I told you so" to DH.

I miss Simon...

haha, that's great glamma!

But do you win a prize if you get it right?

I liked the singer from northern Ireland - what a lovely girl. That guy who came back after last year was awful. Totally staged, but still.

I like to watch the audition's as well and write down the name's of anyone I think may be in the final 3/4 then put it away until the final, how sad is that?

janthea Mon 22-Aug-11 12:19:55

I see this has started again! I must admit to love watching the audition programmes to see the truly awful people who are on it. Such Fun!! I record it and then whizz through the boring bits. Once they go to boot camp and the live shows, I'm not longer interested and don't watch. Am I alone in this guilty pleasure? blush
