Simon was on the park last year, whre I take my grandson..think it may have been his gran that he was with..(not sure what his real name is) didn't know he was around that area. Will take notice in Emerdale next time I watch it..

I get mildly annoyed when people dismiss soaps as just froth. They have dealt with rape, miscarriage, IVF, murder, suicide, infidelity, arson, birth, marriage, death (lots of deaths!), mental illness, kidnap, coming out as homosexual, lesbiansm, corruption......
I have been watching Corrie for 50 years and it has produced some wonderful performances. I still remember Hilda Ogden holding Stan's glasses and crying - of course the actor had died, which gave it a special poignancy.
It can be disconcerting when the writers alter characters completely - the Dingles came in as ruthless thugs and became loveable rogues!

Simon has been really good, hasn't he? The scene where Leanne left in the taxi almost had me in tears, it was so realistic. A fine wee actor (as is Chesney)!

Coronation Street has had some wonderful child actors - Chesney and Simon currently. The worst child actors are on The Archers, where they all have RADA accents, no matter what their parents' social background. I can't stand Pip's baby voice - when is she going to grow up? Still, it must be hard to find so many actors with easily recognisable voices.

Greaatnan, my husband remarked on that yesterday - though I thought the baby still had signs of Down's.

I hadn't noticed but will have a look next time he is in the story line,I am amazed at the story lines sometimes as the children in most of the soaps are never seen for months (I know they are only allowed to film certain hours) but why are all the children sent upstairs to wash their hands never to be seen again, never happened in my house !!

Has anyone noticed that Rhona's baby seems to have miraculously outgrown Down's Syndrome?
