I really enjoyed this series, the clothes, social history, etc., brought all my younger days back to me. And I really wanted to know what happened, though didn't like Michael Kitchen as the older version of Jack - even his eyes were the wrong colour!

I haven't watched it yet so will try and catch up later to-day or to-morrow so don't give the ending away please anyone !!!

Just watched the last episode on iPlayer, friend from france staying so could not watch the broadcast. Well, it all finished up in a great swirl of drama didn't it, including those ghastly close ups of eyes and lips, but somehow I never got really engaged with the characters or cared much about them. A great disappointment all round. My fears for Orla, the only really nice one of the lot, were only too well founded!

Have you given up yet glammanana? I am still irritated by all the trendy close-ups and dingy lighting, but I am beginning to enjoy it more, though the jumps to the present just add to the confusion. I see the Americans have bought it, wonder what they will make of it. Clare Foy is such a good actress, I don't think I have seen her before, but will definitely look out for her in the future. I do hope the future holds some happiness for Orla, she deserves it, but I fear people like her don't always get it!

I am finding it hard to follow I think I will watch the next episode and if no improvement will ditch it,I also dislike the low lighting in the early 60s scenes.
