Very welcome, NannaB. I hope you like the look of us. We are a supportive lot here although at times we can be a bit crazy - or should I say whimsical?
I realised that everything they talked about had been better presented and discussed by Gransetters. I turned it off. After almost a year on GN I really think we have covered all aspects both good and bad on GN, and it made interesting reading and was often very moving.
I thought it was boring. Not because of the stories, but the presentation! I couldn't concentrate on it and I was trying! Honest! Could have been much better done! I feel they owe an apology to GPs
Womans Hour programme on grandparents I found very disappointing. Issue of 'Denied contact' was very much glossed over -didn't say anything that we don't already know only too well. I felt quite angry and upset.I had emailed and know several others including GN members who had done so.They could fill another hour with our stories. apparently the programme was recorded over a week ago so some of our emails would have been too late.No cut-off date was mentioned in their appeal for emails. Grrrr...
Yes, Granb, I thought it was a great programme. Covered so many issues. Do look out for it on iplayer gransnetters! ( I've looked for another thread on this Carol, but seem to be having yet another senior moment )
