I really hope they repeat...missed last week starred this week's in the paper and then went to bed early to read The Thread!

I think he is a really interesting guy and heard him on the radio a couple of weeks back and decided then to watch the programmes! Hope they are repeated.

I am so pleased to see that a thread has been started on this today. I was thoroughly entertained by this wonderful programme. He made it all so entertaining with his laid back style and bang on observations. I am also familiar with Tunbridge Wells and infact have relatives living there who are definitely in line with Grayson's assessment!!

His presenting style was spot on - I'm thinking that, if I'm not already on his wavelength, I would certainly like to be. I had a pre-determined impression of him being somewhat odd, but no, he is such a sensible and down to earth person - extremely likeable.

I also regret having missed his first programme and am really looking forward to his one on the wealthy.

I only saw a snippet of this programme, but will find it and watch the whole thing - it looked so interesting, and very observant. Does make you look at yourself again, doesn't it?

Oh rats; missed it. saw one of his vases in an exhibition at our cinema and was bowled over by it. Is it on iplayer?

It's on 4OD. I'm just watching it now. Really insightful.

Excellent programme. I loved his statement about the people of Tunbridge Wells - 'I'm not bothered about denting the pretensions of the middle classes as they are fully aware of them already.'

Wow; amazing.....hung on his every word [took notes; how sad is that ]. Had no idea there were Jamie Oliver cookware parties [remember tupperware parties ]. Grayson Perry makes me feel totally one dimensional. Quotes; 'Taste; the vanity of small differences'...'Jamie Oliver; the God of class mobility'. 'Not shopping but curating'. Going to see if the first episode is available.

Had to stop watching the first episode when the heating guy had to take over the computer room to do things to the radiator. Wasn't enjoying it as much as the middle class episode at the time but just about to dive back into it [aren't iplayer and 40d wonderful!].

Yes I enjoyed the middle classes episode best, too.

Loved them both. Grayson is a joy to watch and listen to. His interviewing 'technique' could provide a perfect example to many so-called professional interviewers! It is true that there are different strands of middle class as there are so many people in that strata. Can't wait for the upper classes: should be hilarious! I also didn't know there were Jamie Oliver parties. I remember Tupperware from the time it was introduced into this country - yes I am that old! Later on I was a rep and still have some antique Tupperware in my cupboards.

I always said I wouldn't buy anything, but always did. I do have a jug that I still use. Thinking about the first programme, there is a working men's club that we go to for our racing meeting. Carpet and wallpaper must have been there forever; glitterball on the ceiling; packet of scratchings, a sandwich, a few drinks and you still get change from a fiver. It's probably one of my favourite places in the worlds. Alas, Tescos have bought the land and it will be closed down .

Did anyone see Grayson Perry this week? His programme on the wealthy wasn't quite so good as the middle classes one but still very interesting. I do like is way of presenting and hope that he is given more to do on TV

Yes, I saw it. I think his tapestries are exquisite. He's such a down to earth sort of person, isn't he? I saw him on a repeat of Have I Got News For You a few days ago, and he was quite edgy, but he was warm and really interested in the people he was learning about in the three Taste programmes.
