Twenty Twelve on Tuesday

Those of us who worked for large organisations can identify a colleague with every member of the 2012 team - even the jargon and making a verb out of every noun. Working in the NHS, hours were wasted every week just sorting out who would be chairing the meeting, where was the agenda, always some late arrivals, etc. - now I can laugh as it is so brilliantly portrayed by Hugh Bonneville et al. Shall be so sorry to see it end - absolutely!

Siobhan is wonderful. I loved her remark "let's not bail out the ocean", completely admired her CON FA DENCE(!) and was bowled over by the concept of less words - big type. As for "pre-conversationals"... this is definitely what we pay our licence fees for.

I love 2012 a really good satire/reality programme. This was certainly how everyone in management in health and social care was talking to each other when I left a few years ago. I was very out of step for laughing at their ever more ridiculous jargon,metapors and similies. I am now so traumatised i scream when someone wants 'to keep me in the loop' or invites me 'to think outside the box'. I want to put 'the loop' round their necks and then slam them inside the bloody box!

One of my favourite current comedy programmes.Haven't seen this episode before. I think it will bear several repeats and more episodes -an ongoing saga.The actors are great especially Hugh Bonneville and Jessica Hynes and the scriptwriting is superb. Don't miss it.
