radio repeats

I love Radio 4 but the problem arises when you are home all day and want to listen in the evening as well. You could try 4 extra or listen to podcasts of programmes you have missed. Many programmes now allow you to download editions from years ago eg the whole of Desert Island Discs is available as is Melvyn Braggs wonderful In our Time.
I wish Radio 4 would do something about their terrible 'comedy' programmes. Whoever commissions them?

It's the same on television and apparently even worse on SKY which you pay and arm and a leg for.

Have you ever noticed how often items are repeated on the radio? I have been listening to a lot of Radio 4 over the last few days and am finding that most things are repeated at least once in the week, then they make it to Pick Of The Week and then that gets repeated!!
And if I hear one more news item about Julian Assange or the Duke of Edinburgh missing church this morning - I will not be answerable for my actions!
