I am watching this in Switzerland, whilst surfing. The scenery is stunning - one more place to be added to my 'must visit' list! Nepal is also on the list, and when I was at Singapore airport the next check-in desk was for Katmandu.

I remember reading the book (Heinrich Harrer) when I was about twelve. Made me want to go there - sixty years later, doesn't look as if I'm going to make it! Is that the film with Brad Pitt?

greatnan is is a fabulous film isn't it and you are so right the scenery is quite out of this world.

Yes, Anno, looking impossibly handsome! The mountaineering scenes did make me feel a bit jellyish round the knees.
