Michael Winner has died

Have just spotted this on the Internet. It says he had a long standing liver problem.

Whilst he might not have been everyone's favourite characte he could be an amusing old boy and always had plenty to say for himself.

I know all about "De mortuis nil nisi bonum " but never really like the chap. His restaurant reviews were hatchet jobs and might as well have had the by-line "Don't you know who I am" but I hope he enjoyed happinss with his Geraldine in the last years of his life.

I hope so. I was passing Chelsea Town Hall last year, or maybe the year before,and out they popped having just got married, Michael Caine was there. the look on Geraldine's face said it all, she clearly adored him.
