America in prime time on BBC 2 Saturdays

That jogged the memory bank. I remember how exciting ITV was when it was launched. Those wonderful adverts.
It's funny, but now I HATE adverts. You might think I'm mad, but when I'm on my own I flick to any BBC prog. when they come on and if it's a programme that I really like, I record it so that I can zip through the adverts.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this. It's about USA TV and the shows that were put on from the 50's. This programme tonight (or last night) is about misfits and how they were portrayed on the TV. So far tonight I have seen clips from Taxi, Seinfeld, etc. Last week was how the American family were portrayed. Great to see old TV programmes. Just sad that I didn't see a lot of them as according to my Mum ITV when I was growing up was rubbish!
