Somewhat panned by the critics and not much of a story to work with, but I was pleasantly surprised by this little film. Only went to see it at the cinema because I used to live in Cornwall and I'm missing the place [otherwise it's probably more of a dvd/tv film] so I wanted to see it in 'glorious technicolor'. What saves it is the fact that it is a true story; therefore, although it's a bit predictable, anyone who googles the artist [Munnings] will know what happens anyway. Mind you, it made me want to go back there even more. I could almost smell the sea.
