Midsomer Murders or The Killing?

Accrding to the Huffington Post we will not have to choose between the cosy domestic carnage of sleepy Midsomer and the cool "black" killings of Nordic Noir - at least not for the 100th anniversary episode!

"Midsomer's creative team Bentley Productions have announced that, to celebrate its 100th episode of the enduringly popular crime series, DCI Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) will be travelling to Denmark to investigate the discovery of a body, with links that go all the way to Badger's Drift - a location longtime Midsomer fans will recognise as the first ever murder location of the series.

And Nordic Noir fans will recognise some familiar faces, with Ann Eleonora Jorgensen (Pernille Birk Larsen in 'The Killing') and Birgitte Hjort Sorensen (journalist Katrine Fønsmark in 'Borgen') among the cast.

This will also be a special occasion in that it is the first time
the 'Midsomer Murders' team have gone beyond British shores to film. "
Just wonder if we will have the subtitles - (Theis! Trols! Fanden!!))
I can't wait! grin

Yes, it is a one-off and part of it at least will be in Badger's Drift.

Can't wait to see Ben Jones in a jumper.

annodomini Tue 03-Sep-13 22:15:47

Ah, but Barnaby is getting a new sidekick, DS Nelson (Gwilym Lee). Wonder what fate has become Jones!

merlotgran Wed 04-Sep-13 21:18:43

Wot! No Ben Jones?????? I quite liked him. sad

Ana Wed 04-Sep-13 21:29:59

I agree, merlot. Ben Jones was the only reason I kept on watching after John Nettles went...sad
