Icebound; The Greatest Dog Story Ever Told

I loved Northern Exposure - just the sort of off the wall humour that I like, and is there a more impossible animal than a moose? If a camel is a horse designed by a committee the moose must have been cobbled together by the United Nations.

Do you remember Northern Exposure - one of my favourite TV shows - a variety of wacky characters in Alaska? Lovely opening shot of a moose ambling down the main street of a settlement.

I used to love Due South [memories of the episode where I thought Diefenbaker had died ]. I'll check those books out anno.

Tegan, you might like the series of detective stories set in Alaska by Dana Stabenow. One of the 'characters' is a husky-wolf cross, named Mutt. The Iditerod is mentioned frequently, but in the latest book, it's reported that the race is in danger because of the lack of snow, due to global warming.

I was wrong; The Call of the Wild was written in 1903 [perhaps Balto read it ].

I jusy know I'm going to be sobbing into my cocoa watching it.
