The original one is full, having reached 1,000 posts shock, so I thought we could start again!

"How come Rob let her go on her own?" - he had sussed from her phone what was afoot and saw a chance to really make her squirm. Let's hear it.....Boo!

Luckygirl Sun 07-Feb-16 18:25:04

I would just tell him to go forth and multiply, as would we all! grin

Luckygirl Sun 07-Feb-16 18:24:37

Daddima - she has a history of anorexia and is a bit wobbly emotionally still. A true "victim" personality and well spotted by Rob to pounce on.

shysal Sun 07-Feb-16 14:47:41

HannahLoisLuke, I too loved the Ambridge Extra, and think this would be a great storyline for it. Unfortunately the last I heard was that no more programmes are planned.sad

Nana3 Sun 07-Feb-16 00:02:52

nansoval I feel the same. Can't bear to listen to slimy Rob.

chelseababy Fri 05-Feb-16 19:09:40

Now Rob is turning Henry against Helen because she lied to him over the day out and kept a secret from Rob. No escape for her now as Rob and Helen work the same shifts.

Daddima Fri 05-Feb-16 10:07:52

I'm a bit confused as to why Helen seems to be scared of Rob. I know he did display some temper a while ago, and then there was the night they " got carried away" ( was that when baby was conceived?) I wasn't a listener when Henwy was born, but I'd have thought someone with the gumption to go through with that would be more able to stand up for herself.

Nelliemoser Fri 05-Feb-16 07:34:05

There is no way I could hold on for the Sunday omnibus edition. I have to listen if I possibly can or catch up on my computer.

Luckygirl Thu 04-Feb-16 22:43:07

I am beginning to feel a bit sorry for Brian. Imagine having Lilian on tap night and day!

LullyDully Thu 04-Feb-16 19:35:52

Part of his cat and mouse tactics.

suzied Thu 04-Feb-16 18:29:29

How come Rob let her go on her own?

Maggiemaybe Thu 04-Feb-16 18:22:45

Am I the only one who saves herself for the Sunday omnibus? It's thrilling watching all the reactions here to whatever evil Rob is doing now, without knowing the whys and wherefores - I know I'm in for a nailbiting session on Sunday morning!

merlotgran Thu 04-Feb-16 17:26:50

Did Helen actually go for the scan? Wouldn't Rob have asked to see a picture? hmm

HannahLoisLuke Thu 04-Feb-16 16:57:39

I know we all hate Rob and can't wait for him to be found out, but what then? Back to David and Ruth drivelling on about milk yields. At least this is interesting. I really miss Ambridge Extra which used to be on Radio 4X . That filled out the main programme and was a lot more edgy. Does anyone remember it?

LullyDully Thu 04-Feb-16 12:01:32

I have been wondering about the psychology of a person like Rob. Does he mean to manipulate for his own purposes or does he genuinely think he is doing the right thing.
It may be an autistic spectrum disorder like oppositional defiance. (I taught a boy with that!!!!! )

nansoval Wed 03-Feb-16 23:54:45

For God's sake can't somebody get rid of him, I know it's not real but I've stopped listening on catch-up late evening, because I know something awful will happen and I won't sleep. I'll be stronger in the morning - pathetic isn't it ?

merlotgran Wed 03-Feb-16 23:12:58

They all seem to be sleepwalking. Rob saying he'd 'Stood Tony down' as though he wasn't needed for a shift, Pat with her head in the sand, Johnnie has disappeared, Tom is a pushover, midwife obviously didn't pick up on anything.

C'mon Kirsty. Time to do a bit of stalking.

Elrel Wed 03-Feb-16 23:02:49

Chloe - I know what you mean, I don't think I've felt suspense like this in TA before in decades of listening.

suzied Wed 03-Feb-16 18:33:05

I know, much as we love it it's almost unbearable to listen to. Signs of a good drama I suppose!

chloe1984 Wed 03-Feb-16 15:37:06

I was quite nervous whilst waiting for Henry to come out of school I then jumped a mile when Rob turned up. I think something tragic is going to happen only hope my nerves are strong enough.

Luckygirl Wed 03-Feb-16 15:22:07

I do think that this horrible character is very well drawn - the scriptwriters have done their homework.

Blondehedgehog Wed 03-Feb-16 12:47:43

Screams of CONTROL FREEK.....can anyone see themselves here?

I can see many of my friends being controled this way

Hope they dont drag this out for long

HannahLoisLuke Wed 03-Feb-16 10:42:08

I've just looked up the actor who plays Rob (Timothy Watson) and whoever said he looks sinister ir right, he does!
Feel a bit sorry for him now though, the actor that is, as he's had to delete himself from all social media because of the vitriol and abuse he's received.
However much we all hate the character of Rob it is just a story but some people seem to think it's real. Not GNs of course, we just love gnashing our teeth at nasty Rob.

HannahLoisLuke Wed 03-Feb-16 10:31:13

I can hardly bear to listen to any more of the Rob/Helen thing but I'm sure it's going to drag on for a while yet. After all, it's got us all talking and even pulling in new listeners so why would they bring it to a conclusion.

Rob has noticed how pale Helen is, he's always reminding her. Wasn't she sick last night too, bulimia? He's brought it all on so she's totally dependent on him. Gave me the shivers last night when he turned up at school. What an evil monster. Only Kirsty can see it but she can't approach Helen. I think she should lay it out to Pat, Tony and Tom before Rob has Helen in a psychiatric ward, got custody of the children and taken over Bridge Farm!

merlotgran Tue 02-Feb-16 19:38:35

I can't believe Helen left her phone lying around.

We've got the MW appointment to get through now.

Need a gin!
