I wish Pat would sod off accompany Ruth on her trip to NZ. She is getting on my nerves. Can she really be that dense?
Most farming families are terribly wary of new partners/in laws etc. There's a lot at stake if it all goes belly up and when Rob said he'd turned down the job (which he didn't even apply for) I thought Pat would have a light bulb moment.
No, Elizabeth will be relieved if Roy and Kirsty get together
I continue to regret the new producer chucking Nigel off the roof. He was such good value and the Archers lacks a posh, eccentric lord of the manor type.
Result! I predicted on 31 October that Linda would get Roy involved in Calendar Girls. Though I must admit I hadn't expected Elizabeth to collude with her. Game on!
I just dip in and out of the Archers. I never thought Helen was that odd, but Rob gives me the creeps. What do you think he is really after? Is he just a control freak?
The Rob character has put me off, I must have missed something, not listened much lately, why NZ? A long chat with Usha usually helps? I never thought Ruth would have coped with Heather at the farm, caring is a full time job.
Merlotgran - Ruth seems to be forgetting the whole family, and the farm. Thirteen is not a good age to have a parent take off to find herself! Do you think she liked the rugby team or thinks she'll be happier in Middle Earth?!
Phoenix - I could scarcely believe it when Pat leapt in to say Helen shouldn't drive! I don't clearly remember about her previous accident, presumably when Mike lost the sight of one eye. Having c Had to cope with Helen's eating disorder and mental fragility I guess Pat is inclined to be overprotective. She didn't seem to pick up on Helen pleading with her not to tell Rob either. All he seemed worried about was whether Henry was with her.
