I am so fed up with Ruth whining. Other farmers presumably manage to run a home as well as a farm and without the help of a qualified adult daughter and a sensible, experienced grandmother.

Ruth had a long period of stress when she spent half her time in the north east, the other on the farm. I suspect many of us have been there, wherever we happen to be we feel we need to be somewhere else. Prolonged stress, feelings of guilt about her mum and mil, then bereavement. I'm sure many of us will identify with the sense of loss that comes when your mum dies. She's not coping very well, that's often what happens when emotions get the better of us

Has Rob really become Henry's legal father ? I thought he had avoided the adoption route as it would delve into his background too much. And what is it with his parents? Why is he keeping them at arms length? I bet the baby is a girl could be another fruitful story line..

He has parental responsibility, via the mags court. He would have this anyway as he married Helen. Yes, it's odd about his parents

Phoenix I am with you, I listen on Sunday morning and am
Shouting at the radio for Helen to fight back, what a horrid
piece of work Rob is!!!!! most likely Christmas will be the
culmination of the storyline.

Info:- Apparantly at the Radio Times Festival the actor who
plays 'Rob' got a very hostile reception from his audience,
Poor guy he is only doing his job.....however it shows what
a good actor he is!

Remember Mrs Mangel in Neighbours? People used to yell insults at the actor in the street!

Could be the parents know too much about his backstory...

Great to hear Tony standing up to Rob, just hope Helen doesn't pay for it. If Ruth hasn't got enough to do she can take on the household chores instead of leaving it for Jill. Did they ever get a cleaner to replace Emma?

Ruth's whining is getting on my nerves. If I felt I was being sidelined in favour of my daughter I'd make it perfectly clear that the forthcoming inheritance was MINE and they could sing for any of it unless they changed their attitudes.

I do hope Tony sticks to his guns. The tables sound horrible but anything will do to get one over Rob.

Yes - the whole Ruth thing is barmy. One minute she's got so much to do that she can't wash a pair of socks and no-one is getting anything to eat; and the next she is twiddling her thumbs and feeling sidelined with nothing to do. Make up your mind lass!

Calendar Girls' rehearsal brought a welcome touch of humour this evening. Not so sure about image of Neil in his under crackers however!!

It amazes me that all at Brookfield expect Jill to be the hard-working housewife/ cook /maid/ housekeeper!!!

Why didn't Charlie wonder how the half a dogs body got above the cattle feed, so it could drip down ? Will anyone ever query whether Rob (boo hiss) did this?

Will the Grundy's presence at Grey Gables cause ructions with Charlie's awful boss and so C will get sacked.

I was relieved to hear Usha reassuring Ruth that she is still grieving and that's not the right time to be making life changing decisions.

Oh yes phoenix, there was, I heard that yesterday. I'm surprised the insurance are paying for Grey Gables rather than a rented house (Anya would no doubt confirm )

Do you think the man Charlie referred to who speaks Polish might stumble on the mystery of Stefan's sudden departure if he speaks to the Berrow Farm workers. Rob is behind that ( of course!)

Hooray - Ruth is going to NZ! - now she will not be able to get up our wicks all the time! Why NZ? - I've no idea. How does she think it will improve things for her? - ditto.
