And away we go again!

Iam64 Wed 01-Jun-16 20:02:53

PoorvPeggy, I accept she doesn't always make the best decisions, the will being the best example I can think of right now. However, she blundered into enemy HQ like a well meaning great grannie, wanting to be fair and perhaps try and build bridges between Jack's maternal and paternal families. Let's hope that having had a slight glimpse of Rob's temper and need to control, she may begin to realise Helen might have been subjected to much worse.
The family court hearing in Junevwont make final decisions aboutb the children. One if the difficulties when criminal, proceedings run parallel is the family court ideally needs the outcome of the criminal court. Here's hoping the Archers get their collective act together. There's mis evidence a Rob is separating Henry from his extended family, he's been unpleasant and now rude and frankly threatening to a 92 year old great grann who was acting in a friendly manner.

Why Peggy's money??

merlotgran Wed 01-Jun-16 19:38:00

No doubt Rob will move heaven and earth to change the baby's name but the irony is it will be Peggy's money paying the legal fees. hmm

Rob: 'You're always welcome here, Peggy (just so long as you bring your chequebook)

Rowantree Wed 01-Jun-16 19:33:30

Can I join in? I'm panicking! Can Rob legally change the baby's name?

midgey Wed 01-Jun-16 19:33:27

Stefan....even

midgey Wed 01-Jun-16 19:32:56

Surely it was Stefa in the silage seeing as Linda's dog is safely home?

merlotgran Wed 01-Jun-16 19:21:13

Why oh why didn't Peggy ring Pat? All Lillian ever wants is an excuse to go to lunch.

I think it was all a bit of a let-down. Peggy is still in apology mode.

Have your Radio 4s at the ready it's 18:54hrs.

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 18:42:58

I hope she is called merlot. Although I would like Rob to let rip in the courtroom the SWs may keep it carefully balanced and keep us waiting for the verdict. They like twisting the screw!

phoenix Wed 01-Jun-16 18:31:59

merlot your post at 18.10 made me grin

merlotgran Wed 01-Jun-16 18:23:01

Would revealing Rob's blocking of the culvert help Helen's defence though?

I think Jess has to be the one with the trump card.

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 18:17:54

I think they will try and take Helen apart at the trial to - to show she is mentally unstable. What Helen's side need is something to make Rob loose the plot in the courtroom. Could that be an unexpected last minute appearance by Stefan? They have the family court before that and loosing care of the children would nicely undermine Rob, particularly if some illusion to Helen having to defend herself comes up to spoil his carefully painted image smile.

merlotgran Wed 01-Jun-16 18:10:42

Yep! If I was Peggy I would say, 'Step forward the man who has a son called Gideon. Rob.....Where do you think you're going?'

phoenix Wed 01-Jun-16 18:06:29

Who wants to bet It's the name that gets him riled?

chloe1984 Wed 01-Jun-16 18:02:32

Oh can't wait for him to start revealing his real character to others , as you say Gracesgran just hope they don't blame it on the attack and call it post traumatic shock.

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 17:51:30

There is a level at which he cannot mask his true nature Chloe. The more he feels control is taken away from him the truer to his real nature he will behave. (In my opinion).

chloe1984 Wed 01-Jun-16 17:41:34

Surely Rob won't want to upset Peggy just in case he is still included in her will.

phoenix Wed 01-Jun-16 17:07:54

Looks like tonight's episode is the one where Peggy sees the other side of Rob!

AyjayF Wed 01-Jun-16 16:59:07

Oh, how I hope Stefan hears about Rob from the other pickers + puts his 'five-pennyworth' in

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 15:08:51

Mmmm - I think so Lazigirl

Lazigirl Wed 01-Jun-16 13:54:56

I agree about Stefan Gracesgran. Too much melodrama if Stefan has been murdered and would detract from main event, Helen's trial. He could be found ? at last minute to aid defence.

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 12:43:51

I hope Rob paid him off and sent him home and didn't murder him. I have a feeling the trial will be a long effort to destroy Rob's character so if (and this could be a red herring) Stefan could be found he could give evidence and show another side of Rob.

Nelliemoser Wed 01-Jun-16 11:51:55

I was wondering if the new batch of incoming polish pickers may have tales to tell about Stefan if it only comes as rumours from the other team members.

Gracesgran Wed 01-Jun-16 11:23:04

I wish! Thank you Lazigirl. I think I am a little obsessed but as my current alternative is finding out what foods are FODMAPs and what are not (just Google and take a little peek) sanity definitely lies in The Archers, so I allow myself to be distracted rather too oftensmile

Lazigirl Wed 01-Jun-16 09:18:44

Gracesgran Think you need to be collaborating with scriptwriters, you've definitely got your finger on pulse! You're not are you? wink
