Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news....

Just a little personal note here. We were living in the E Midlands when I was pregnant with my first child. About a week before my due date my neighbours knocked to say they were going to Twycross Zoo which wasn't far and did I want to go. I rang H to tell him I may not be home when he got home from work and he was nearly in the car panicking that the baby was on its way. He wasn't impressed.

That is sad. My sister in law used to be responsible for the design and production of the chimps' costumes.
She would go out to Cinecittà in Italy for the filming and entirely refuted any accusations that it was cruel. She said the chimps loved it!

Ah, I do hope 'Ada' (Choppers) did have a happy life, although somehow I doubt it.
