It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

Laughing all the way to the finals? People like a laugh and he's very entertaining.

Wobblybits Mon 17-Oct-16 09:54:30

It is the show organisers that decide on the costumes, I applaud Ed for going with it, he is not so full of himself as some. I laugh with him, never at him.

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 09:56:32

Exactly Wobbly!

DanniRae Mon 17-Oct-16 13:56:05

Me too Wobbly!

Maggiemaybe Mon 17-Oct-16 14:18:36

And here.

Maggiemaybe Mon 17-Oct-16 14:19:49

Same here, I mean!

I thought Naga really did not try very hard.
I wonder if those who are contracted to the BBC are put under any sort of pressure to take part in these shows.
We seem to have seen a lot of BBC presenters over the years.

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 15:06:31

There's always a token BBC person, a sports person, a soap actor, an older woman, a pop star/singer etc etc. Its a formula they stick to.

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 15:08:59

Re Naga, I thought she tried very hard and was quite brave. The lifts were awful especially that one holding her upside down on his shoulders with her knickers on display. That would take some nerve! Better than sleezy Anastacia.

DanniRae Mon 17-Oct-16 16:46:39

I too felt that Naga tried her best, was having a brilliant time and was very sad to leave. And I was sad to see her go - should have been Anastacia angry

Victoria Derbyshire has just described Ed Balls as a "showbiz superstar"!!! Tad of exaggeration there, but he is on her show later this morning so I guess she has to talk him up.

POGS Tue 18-Oct-16 10:30:25

I don't think anybody is 'laughing at' Ed Balls are they wobbly?

I watched him on Victoria Derbyshire and he said he was awful, missed his steps and at one time asked 'What shall we do'. He said when he left the floor the producer said to him 'That was the campest Paso Doble ever".

Victoria asked him if he would do a John Sergeant and he said he will keep going until he gets voted out and is looking forward to doing the jive.. I still like his self deprecation but they must stop dressing him so daftly.

I don't see Anastasia as 'sleazy'.

Pittcity Sat 22-Oct-16 19:09:22

Anyone else notice the weird hand jewellery that Tess wore? Is it a new fashion that I have missed?

Ana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:16:30

Anyone else notice that Len called Greg an 'atherleet'? Why do some people do that...?

Have just had a look at Tess's ring, it does look rather like a knuckleduster!

BlueBelle Sat 22-Oct-16 19:44:25

Well I was curled up laughing as Ed Balls tried to get his partner off his shoulder how she didn't crash I ll never know
Judge Rinder was fabulous what a jive, love him

merlotgran Sat 22-Oct-16 19:44:51

OMG Ed Balls. I thought we were going to see the first stretcher case. shock

Maggiemaybe Sat 22-Oct-16 19:49:35

Oh dear, poor Ed grin I'm pretty sure an offence was committed during that lift - I was watching through my fingers.

Ana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:53:14

His partner seemed to have some type of 'protection' thingy under her culottes, similar to a crickete's box, you could see it sticking out at the back! No doubt she needed it...

Mary59nana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:56:00

Judge Rinder was so good and a joy to watch. Ed is such a tryer bless him

DaphneBroon Sat 22-Oct-16 20:06:19

I felt sorry for Ed both last week and this because the choreography does him no favours. A good professional can bring out the best in their celebrity and gloss over their weaknesses. Ed has bad arms and hands so WHY have him waving like a demented windmill. When he was actually dancing this week he was not bad, but the lifts were disastrous and swinging his partner round the floor like a floormop shows off no skills whatsoever.
Compare Kevin Clifton's or indeed Joanne Clifton's choreography for their "Celebrities". hmm

Jane10 Sat 22-Oct-16 20:30:00

Daisy was lovely too. I did enjoy her dance.
Judge gets my vote though. I just like Ed. No reason. Certainly not his dance skills but his attitude is great.

NotTooOld Sat 22-Oct-16 21:48:15

I agree about Ed, he does have a good attitude and he always says he is learning. I don't think the choreography does him any favours, all those lifts, it was as though he was being set up to fail. His partner should have stuck to the in-hold stuff which he actually performed quite well. It's a shame he's not being given the chance to show what he can do, rather than what he can't do.

Rob Rinder's boogie was great, especially the one handed cartwheel. His dance was a good show opener and deserved higher marks, I thought.

Anastacia is coming out of her shell, and not in a good way. Brendan must be a bit miffed that she did her best dance this week. I hope she goes soon.

Poor Lesley. She's such a trooper. I actually thought she and Anton did well this week but the judges thought otherwise. I reckon they'll end up in the dance off.

Anya Sat 22-Oct-16 22:29:33

Possibly Lesley and Ed in the dance off?

I agree about the choreography for Ed's dance, very poor.

cornergran Sat 22-Oct-16 23:03:40

Yes, my guess is Ed and Lesley. Hopefully Lesley would triumph. Really fed up,with Ed. Yes, he tries but he's not doing that well.

gillybob Sat 22-Oct-16 23:35:37

I agree Anya Lesley and Ed should be in the dance off. I think Ed might stay for the comedy value though. So could be Lesley and Greg ?

Loved Judge Rinder.
