It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

Ana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:53:14

His partner seemed to have some type of 'protection' thingy under her culottes, similar to a crickete's box, you could see it sticking out at the back! No doubt she needed it...

Maggiemaybe Sat 22-Oct-16 19:49:35

Oh dear, poor Ed grin I'm pretty sure an offence was committed during that lift - I was watching through my fingers.

merlotgran Sat 22-Oct-16 19:44:51

OMG Ed Balls. I thought we were going to see the first stretcher case. shock

BlueBelle Sat 22-Oct-16 19:44:25

Well I was curled up laughing as Ed Balls tried to get his partner off his shoulder how she didn't crash I ll never know
Judge Rinder was fabulous what a jive, love him

Ana Sat 22-Oct-16 19:16:30

Anyone else notice that Len called Greg an 'atherleet'? Why do some people do that...?

Have just had a look at Tess's ring, it does look rather like a knuckleduster!

Pittcity Sat 22-Oct-16 19:09:22

Anyone else notice the weird hand jewellery that Tess wore? Is it a new fashion that I have missed?

POGS Tue 18-Oct-16 10:30:25

I don't think anybody is 'laughing at' Ed Balls are they wobbly?

I watched him on Victoria Derbyshire and he said he was awful, missed his steps and at one time asked 'What shall we do'. He said when he left the floor the producer said to him 'That was the campest Paso Doble ever".

Victoria asked him if he would do a John Sergeant and he said he will keep going until he gets voted out and is looking forward to doing the jive.. I still like his self deprecation but they must stop dressing him so daftly.

I don't see Anastasia as 'sleazy'.

Wobblybits Tue 18-Oct-16 08:42:18

Victoria Derbyshire has just described Ed Balls as a "showbiz superstar"!!! Tad of exaggeration there, but he is on her show later this morning so I guess she has to talk him up.

I too felt that Naga tried her best, was having a brilliant time and was very sad to leave. And I was sad to see her go - should have been Anastacia angry

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 15:08:59

Re Naga, I thought she tried very hard and was quite brave. The lifts were awful especially that one holding her upside down on his shoulders with her knickers on display. That would take some nerve! Better than sleezy Anastacia.

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 15:06:31

There's always a token BBC person, a sports person, a soap actor, an older woman, a pop star/singer etc etc. Its a formula they stick to.

felice Mon 17-Oct-16 14:40:04

I thought Naga really did not try very hard.
I wonder if those who are contracted to the BBC are put under any sort of pressure to take part in these shows.
We seem to have seen a lot of BBC presenters over the years.

Maggiemaybe Mon 17-Oct-16 14:19:49

Same here, I mean!

Maggiemaybe Mon 17-Oct-16 14:18:36

And here.

DanniRae Mon 17-Oct-16 13:56:05

Me too Wobbly!

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 09:56:32

Exactly Wobbly!

Wobblybits Mon 17-Oct-16 09:54:30

It is the show organisers that decide on the costumes, I applaud Ed for going with it, he is not so full of himself as some. I laugh with him, never at him.

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 09:19:44

Laughing all the way to the finals? People like a laugh and he's very entertaining.

Charleygirl Mon 17-Oct-16 09:17:08

Ed has become another John Sergeant/Ann Widdecombe- dressed in the most ridiculous outfits and is the laughing stock.

PRINTMISS Mon 17-Oct-16 09:13:58

Did anyone else notice that Anastasia was left very much out of the crowd that gathered round Naga and her partner? I rather felt that they (Naga) turned their backs on Anastasia rather than embrace her.

Maggiemaybe Mon 17-Oct-16 09:06:16

They have set Ed Balls up with costumes that make him look simple daft though, haven't they? I didn't see it this week, but thought he did very well with his first two dances, keeping in time and giving it his all.

Mary59nana Mon 17-Oct-16 08:32:45

I'm enjoying Ed Balls although I think he will do much better when he is dressed up smart in a suit doing ballroom so far it's been very pantomimist so he does look daft and awkward

Jane10 Mon 17-Oct-16 07:12:34

But its not. Luckily. That Chris Hollins that won a few years back wasn't a great dancer but people just liked him and appreciated that he started as a complete beginner.

POGS Sun 16-Oct-16 23:36:41

I think Ed Balls looked daft but give him his due for trying.

He should have gone though if it was solely based on dancing skills.

annodomini Sun 16-Oct-16 23:30:42

Ed should have gone this week. I thought the judges' votes would put him in the bottom two but evidently the popular vote outweighed it.
