BBC iplayer

I got an email yesterday saying that I have to re-register for my BBC account if I want to access iPlayer. I don't think I have an account, and haven't used iPlayer for ages - and even then I didn't have to sign in. Anyone else had that?

Alima I can still only find 3 episodes of The cuckoo's calling and one of The Silkworm, I need a GC here!!!
I am watching catchup on my tablet not tv , that may be why.

We don't watch much current tv as my H can't follow a programme but I watch later on catch up snuggled in my bed
I watched the first episode of The Silkworm on Monday but the second doesn't seem available.
Has anyone else found this or is it just me?
