She left to have back surgery and says she'll be back next year,The medication she was on affected her appetite and thats why she lost weight .

Is Connie out for good - does anyone know? I hope she comes back. That will be very difficult thought in the circumstances.

Sodapop I heard that Ian was leaving as well, also Ellie, Connie did have cancer in the show and in real life I think.

I've just Googled and read that Amanda Mealing has been upset by Tweets saying does she have an eating disorder. She denies it saying she is suffering from extreme back pain. I fail to see how that explains the weight loss though.

I know that Connie the character had cancer of the heart in the storyline. Has the actress who plays her had cancer in real life? I have also noticed how thin she is looking now, hope she is ok.
