Its just started on channel 4.
Just by chance I've happened upon it, but it looks as if it's going to be thought provoking.

Don't watch it if offended by bad language! shock

matson Tue 13-Aug-19 23:15:30

Thought she the truth and will watch again next week.

""Spoke "

MissAdventure Tue 13-Aug-19 23:17:17

It was very good, wasn't it?
I'm looking forward to next week. smile

Yes she spoke a lot of sense.
Pity she couldn’t do it with out the bad language. It added nothing to the programme.

EllanVannin Wed 14-Aug-19 09:09:29

Very down to earth with not a " frill " in sight.

Imagine her and Jo Brand together !

Luckygirl Wed 14-Aug-19 09:24:51

I would rather not!! grin

Kathy Burke is tremendous. She was so understanding + compassionate with the women she was talking too. She spoke such common sense. Her swearing + down to earth language didn't detract from the message at all

I like Kathy Burke, and I watched this show, , I'll see what the next show brings before I decide whether to continue. I didn't see the need for all the bad language however, it did make me cringe a couple of times.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Aug-19 10:49:56

Me too.
She discussed all the kinds of things we talk about on gransnet (when we aren't arguing about which way to peg washing, and whether to shower twice a day!)

Heard her on Zoe Balls breakfast show. Aways been a big fan of Kathy Burke. Not had chance to watch it but hope to tonight.

Sarah Millican, Kathy Burke & Jo Brand did a Conversation Show in London 2016 , hosted by Standard Issue Magazine. Would love to have seen that.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Aug-19 12:55:45

Oh yes, do try to watch it.
Its the first programme to really hold my attention for a good while. smile
(She did swear A LOT though!)

I've always liked Kathy Burke, very talented, but somewhat underrated. I enjoyed her programme and the message she was aiming to get across.

Swearing is neither here nor there, it's part of who she is

Glammy57 Thu 15-Aug-19 15:56:25

I must catch up on this. Thought she was great in Nil By Mouth!

KatyK Thu 15-Aug-19 18:10:31

I enjoyed it. I like Kathy's attitude to life but agree that there was no need for all the swearing.
