As I said , I haven’t watched the tv show , and I wondered if it ( tv series) was less ‘raw’ than the original ( I believe the play was based on the original Fringe version , pre #me too, and 6 years ago.

I enjoyed it and thought her acting was brilliant-those facial expressions! I found the second series more poignant and far less shocking. My daughter said she was a little uncomfortable watching it whilst sitting next to her dad!blush

My daughter and her DH went to see it and loved it. I had never seen it so decided to watch some past issues in I player I quite liked it.

I'm afraid this is the modern way of connecting with people and has been ever since the 'let it all hang out' sixties.

The younger generation doesn't see sex in the same way and I feel they've lost something. Romance? It's all rather sad.

Loved the TV series and so watched the live stream. I thought she was amazing, her facial expressions etc but the content became a little boring around half way through. Strangely enough I thought the funniest part was about not mentioning/mentioning her sisters hairstyle and not about sex.

I saw it with my man - it was brilliant - cycling though funny, shocking, poignant and very sad - extremely skilled writing and very enjoyable.

@Lisagran - I hear what you are saying about #MeToo - but that was kind of the point. How did young women get to this?

I’m a nanna and I felt it resonate, so I’m think all women are the play’s target audience, either as a retrospective look back or as a current situation.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and so did my partner. It was great to see the original as opposed to the TV programme version.

Sadly I didn't see the live stream. I absolutely loved the tv series. Some of the best writing I've seen for some time. ????

Bit too much in a middle/upper class bubble for me,both the writer and the writing.

Oh, OK lisagran thank you.
...I did think it would make a play however.

PWB is an amazing writer and actor.
I love the raw honesty of Fleabag, it’s terribly sad and very poignant.

“On stage”, it’s not a film or a play - it’s a one-woman (Phoebe W-B) stand up show, recorded live in London. I went with my 3 daughters. I thought most of it was very funny, but I also thought that much of it let the #MeToo campaign down. Some of it was very poignant.

I only saw some of it on TV and thought it was rather dull!!
I did think at the time that it might be better on stage though.

I didn't see it, but a friend, who is a theatre critic, did. He said it was excellent!

I loved the tv series, two. I think. Looking forward to the film.

I didn't see the live stream but LOVED the TV series. I watched it on iPlayer while living in China and even one of my Chinese students had seen it and loved it.

It's very contemporary. We are not its target audience.

Atqui Fri 13-Sept-19 15:26:27

What did you think Lisagran. It seems no one else saw it!

Atqui Fri 13-Sept-19 12:10:33

The young women in our row obviously thought it was hilarious, but there was no such thing as sexting in our youth was there (Thank goodness)

Atqui Fri 13-Sept-19 12:06:10

I certainly didnt like it, (;especially the cruelty to animals) , but it was thought provoking- that someone should have such low self esteem that she was anyone’s. Well - that was my take on it

Lisagran Fri 13-Sept-19 10:38:16

I saw it Atqui - not sure of your reaction - did you hate it?

Atqui Fri 13-Sept-19 09:30:58

I went to live streaming of the theatre production last evening , mainly out of curiosity as I’ve never watched it on TV . Now I see why ! Did anyone else see it last night?
