There's going to be a new All Creatures Great and Small too. And a Brighton detective series based on the DI Grace book series. Not sure when.

Loved Father brown too, i adore the clothes and the hair of that era so a real treat for me. Plus of course life was all so different back then.

Oh yes Deadwater Fell. Anything with David Tennant in it.

MerylStreep Mon 06-Jan-20 17:27:12

Whitehorse Farm. For me it wasn't a gut feeling. More evidence based.

I'm excited by all of these.

I like Call the Midwife but am really looking forward to Last Tango inHalifax but not until March. Love Silent Witness too

Sara65 Mon 06-Jan-20 16:24:09

Liked the first series if Last Tango, but it just seemed to get more and more stupid, so I’ll be giving that a miss,

GrandmaMoira Mon 06-Jan-20 16:21:31

I'm happy that there is a new Call the Midwife.

I will look out for Deadwater Fell (not heard of that) and there is a new Last Tango In Halifax starting (Spring?)
Father Brown should be set in Yorkshire not the Cotswolds, and as it’s a Catholic church they shouldn't have used a Cof E one in the filming ( rant over.)?

meryl and chestnut I too had the same feeling about Jeremy Bamber and never thought he was guilty I m not sure why just a gut feeling I guess

Looking forward to Deadwater Fell starting this Thursday (Ch4) - looks promising. Also Vera. I'm a big fan of Ann Cleeves and looking forward to the next "Shetland". Watched "Traces" over the holiday period on Alibi starring Martin Cromptson which was quite enjoyable - at least I stuck with it to the end!!

Meryl I must admit I just couldn't believe Jeremy Bamber was guilty. It was just a feeling but I had the same feeling about Barry George when they arrested him for Jill Dando. If he is innocent then what a tragic life he has been forced to lead. I shall watch White House Farm with interest.

I was going to say father Brown. Watched it today and enjoyed it

MiniMoon Mon 06-Jan-20 15:19:19

A new series of Father Brown started this afternoon.

I missed it!

I thought The Mallorca Files might be OK, but it was a sort of re- hash of Death in Paradise, which I never really liked.
Good to see some new series coming up soon, especially Vera.

Whitehorse Farm on Wednesday.
We lived just up the road from the farm and still remember the scene outside that morning when I was driving to work and then seeing on the news what had happened.
Plus, I saw Jeramy many times in the local pub. I saw his parents a couple of times.
I still believe he is innocent. He would have been out of prison many years ago if he admitted that he committed the murders, but he won't.

Sara65 Mon 06-Jan-20 14:47:52

And a new Midsomer

Fiachna50 Mon 06-Jan-20 14:45:41

I used to enjoy Death in Paradise until they got that new character, the young female police officer. Her antics and all the manic silly stuff she does just gets on my nerves. If she hasn't toned it down, I wont be watching. Love Vera, will definitely be tuned in.

Sara65 Mon 06-Jan-20 14:33:42

Love Vera, we all thought it started last night, so were very disappointed!

Jane10 Mon 06-Jan-20 14:32:55

Ooh and Granchester too

Jane10 Mon 06-Jan-20 14:26:16

Treats galore on TV. New series of Silent Witness, Death in Paradise and, best of all, Vera! Nice to be entertained at this time of year.
