The National Television Awards were held last night in London. It was a chilly evening with a brisk cold wind. Reporters and ‘fans’ were well muffled up on the red carpet and beyond wearing thick coats, hats, gloves and wooly scarves. The ‘stars’ seemed to be wafting past in minimum clothing. How come they are not shivering with the cold and teeth chattering when being interviewed?

Adrenaline?

As my mother would say “it’s their pride that’s keeping them warm”. She would often say this when I headed off to London in my mini skirts!

Thermal undies?

They are actors - they have to wear mittens and scarves in 30° and pretend to be freezing.

Perhaps all the lighting makes the red carpet area warm. But where are their coats for when they come out again? confused

They would have been freezing but acting.
