I found this Australian series on BBC iPlayer, there are 8 episodes. It is about a group of 5 single people who pool their finances as a way of buying a house. They are very different personalities with very different backgrounds. I am only three episodes in but I am enjoying it - there are some nice touches of humour as well as some drama.

I really liked it too. Wish there was a second series!

I enjoyed it too, Jane. It’s a good recommendation. ?

I stayed up until late last night watching it. I’m on the 4th episode. It’s very entertaining and they live in a beautiful house!

We seem to be getting a few Aussie dramas. I’ve watched “the heights” also on bbc iPlayer.

In view of the ending, there surely must be a second series. Hopefully we get it. I watched the rest of it yesterday and as it progressed I really enjoyed the story lines and the character development.

Lucca, I’ll check out ‘The Heights‘.

Jane43 do you have Netflix?
If you liked five bedrooms (I’ve just started watching thanks) you’d love the Aussie series Offspring. Some of the same actors. And there about 6 series!

Yes we do have Netflix Lucca. I’ll check out Offspring. I did try a few episodes of The Heights, there’s a lot of them!

I loved Five Bedrooms, sometimes funny and sometimes very moving. I watched Offspring initially because Kat Stewart from Five Bedrooms was in it, but she plays a very different character in both.
It took me longer to get into Offspring but I was then hooked and have now watched all six series.
I am now looking forward to trying The Heights, so thanks for the info Lucca.

The heights is not a patch on five bedrooms or offspring!!

I have to agree Lucca, the episodes of The Heights I’ve seen seem more like a soap. I’ve only seen four episodes but it’s not engaging me in the same way as Five Bedrooms, I became really fond of the characters, especially Harry, Ben, Heather and Liz. There will be a second series apparently.

You will love Offspring then ! “Liz “ is in it.
