I've been loving the ads - duff, duff, duff!

Grandyma Mon 07-Sept-20 09:24:14

Can’t wait for the return of Stenders!! I heard they are going to be bringing in real life partners for the “close contact” scenes.

Kitty it took me about an hour to work out what Stenders is ... then of course your ‘duff, duff, duff... ‘ made sense.

I don’t watch but your post made me smile ...

kittylester Mon 07-Sept-20 11:43:59

nortsta, not really sure how to spell 'duff' grin

But Middle daughter is huge fan so I watch in solidarity! It's a bit of a cult thing with her friends.

I find it irritating really but we have watched it since the beginning and I suppose there us the most bit of me that needs to k ow what is going on. grin

Me too kittylester. Corrie and Eastenders sort of punctuate my TV viewing week. I've been all at sea since one stopped and the other reduced the number of weekly episodes. I think Corrie has handled the virus very well. It's referred to as part of everyday life, as it has become for us too.

Haven't watched it for decades,it was very dark and miserable and I like to be entertained not depressed . I dont watch any soaps now as they all went the same way .

Alima Mon 07-Sept-20 12:56:42

Really looking forward to having Stenders back. Find the misery very entertaining!

Well, I enjoyed that!!

I'm glad it's back. All that misery cheers me up. I really enjoyed it last night.

I wish they hadn't made such a hoohaa about how it was filmed. It meant that all the time I was wondering where the screen was or which angle was used.
Corrie was much more discreet and I wasn't distracted from the characters and story.

Enjoyed it being back but a couple of weird moments with Ruby and Martin in the restaurant and the holding hands scene a bit off putting but they’re doing their best in difficult circumstances I suppose.

BBbevan Tue 08-Sept-20 11:02:59

Haven’t watched it for years, and don’t intend to start now.

Ealdemodor Tue 08-Sept-20 11:18:51

I have felt sorry for the Enders fans!
We Corrie watchers may have been rationed, but haven’t had to go without.

kittylester Tue 08-Sept-20 12:24:47

I've enjoyed the Stacey Dooley chats - well apart from Stacey Dooley. Also, the classic episodes.

sodapop Tue 08-Sept-20 12:59:37

I found it all a bit strange last night for some reason, I thought Corrie handled things better.

Jaxjacky Tue 08-Sept-20 13:18:10

I’ll reschedule as don’t watch either, hope you all enjoy it though.

Maggiemaybe Tue 08-Sept-20 13:21:56

I'm in the Corrie camp myself, but it must be good to get it back if you're a fan. I've heard that Corrie's going to go back to six episodes a week, which I think is a shame (though probably not from the point of view of the actors!). Somehow I've enjoyed it more when there were just three.

Really enjoyed seeing Enders back, makes things seem more normal. (Doesn’t Ian Beale look slim!).
Notice that tonight’s episode is scheduled as 25 minutes long like last night then back up to half an hour on Thursday and Friday. Looking forward to seeing Stacey back soon too.
