I watched it too & found it very moving and interesting. However, I've read that in some areas of Thailand the "training" of elephants & indeed those used in the tourist industry are treated very badly. The programme we've watched is lovely & I have to say uplifting to observe how caring the vets & handlers are.

I started watching this last week and this week's episode was very interesting, all about how Elephants get Colic and can actually die from it, so it is very serious and treated as such. Parts of it were very sad but a throughly enjoyable program.
A must for Elephant lovers.
