I find some mixes too sweet, any recommendations?

I find them All too sweet. I prefer a cup of earl grey and a bar of chocolate to go with it!

Asda's own is by far the best one I've tasted, even better than Cadbury's.

I’ve gone back to making cocoa with hot milk and adding sweetener/sugar myself. It takes longer but is worth it and possibly cheaper.

I saw them once at the Symphony Hall Birmingham .......?

Sorry Tigerdove couldn’t resist.

Hot chocolate drink - I like Green & Black’s, made with milk in a pan on the hob, no sugar.
I agree - some brands are spoiled by being far too sweet.

I like Cadbury, but I do have a sweet tooth.

I saw them too, in Liverpool. Hey, I'm liking the dual subject thread.

Since I always find them over sweet, I just make myself a nice cup of cocoa instead. ?

Tigerdove Mon 05-Oct-20 17:35:14

Sorry, I should have looked more carefully where I was putting it

Calendargirl Mon 05-Oct-20 18:43:51

Much prefer cocoa, drinking chocolate has too much sugar in it.
I just put one sweetener in, and make it quite strong. If you fancy a bit of chocolate, I find the cocoa takes away the urge.

Cocoa, if I can be bothered to blend blend blend! smile

I cant think of Hot Chocolate without remembering Prince Charles mimicking the scene from the Full Monty film!!

Not to worry Tigerdove people cottoned on!
