We have sadly reached the end of Offspring, a series which we have thoroughly enjoyed binge watching, and are now looking for recommendations for a replacement.

In many ways it was similar to Rake another Australian series which we loved.

We have enjoyed The Bridge, The Heist, Breaking Bad, Suits, Madmen, Spiral, Fauda, Designated Survivor, The West Wing, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, Chesapeake Shores, Bates Motel..........

Any suggestions for either Netflix or iPlayer will be gratefully received.

I’m looking forward to watching another few episodes of Schitt’s Creek tonight on Netflix. Award winning Canadian comedy series. I’ve recommended it to a couple of friends and they are really enjoying it.

Thank you Grannynannywanny we did start that once upon a time but having seen lots of good reviews we might give it another try.

Emily in Paris is light, entertaining.

So glad to at last find someone else who enjoyed offspring and rake !
“Call my agent “ A French series is brilliant.
Have you seen ”five bedrooms ?

Lucca another vote here for Five Bedrooms. I loved it and was disappointed to realise I’d reached the end of the series. I hope there will be more soon.

Two Doors Down (iPlayer) is a sitcom, which is not usually my 'thing', but it is very funny in a warm, kindly way. All the characters are flawed in their own way, but none of them is singled out as the scapegoat, and the situations are believable and relatable. I really enjoyed it, and there are four series to watch.

If you liked that you’d love Offspring on Netflix !

Thanks Lucca for the recommendation. I’ll check out Offspring tomorrow night.

There are seven series !

Shtisel is another we started but will revisit kircubbin, and Lucca, as we seem to like the same programmes we started on Call My Agent last night. OH seems not too keen so may switch to Five Bedrooms tonight. The Emily one has possibilities fevertree, we watched the first episode. Two Doors Down is a favourite of my OH Doodledog.

Since lockdown we have got into the routine of watching far too much TV to replace theatre/cinema visits and socialising. There is a wealth of choice, it’s just finding the right programmes, which is where recommendations help enormously so thank you all.

I quite enjoyed Emily in Paris, but there is only one series available at the moment and the storyline was left completely up in the air!

Another one here for Call My Agent on Netflix. Really enjoying it. Have now finished Grace and Frankie. I think it was a bit hit and miss. I didn't enjoy the overacting of a couple of the cast, but I did enjoy the storylines. Loved 'Five Bedrooms' Lucca. 800 words is being repeated on BBC as well. I also enjoyed 'The Letdown' Australian comedy/drama on Netflix, although I don't think I was particularly the target audience.
